
Michael Sturges, 59, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 2, 2017. He was born October 25,1957, to Richard and Velma Sturges.
Michael graduated from the University of Dublin, California, with a Bachelor of Science, in 1967. He owned and operated North Community Aircraft until 2011, and worked as a sound engineer for many years. Most recently he was with Main Event Sound and Lighting. He spent his free time woodworking at the Indy Joinery, playing guitar, and building model airplanes. He was also a classic car enthusiast.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Louise Sturges; and nephew, Mikey. He is survived by his children, Brendan and Cassie Sturges; father, Richard Leon Sturges; siblings, Debra Leach, Pamela Boothe, and Scott Sturges; nieces and nephew, Callie, Noel, and Ashley; as well as many friends.
A celebration of life will be held 4-8 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017, at the Knights of Columbus, 1040 N. Post. Road, Indianapolis.
